Multi vitamins or target vitamins? Knowing what your horse is missing is the first requirement in buying a vitamin supplement. many products today carry vitamins and minerals in them, such as your fortified grain, hoof supplements, coat supplements and the like. It is rare that horses need a multi-vitamin in todays research-based community and sometimes we feel better just  giving them one but in reality we can be setting them up for toxicity or a break in the "chain".
